Bonkers Review |
Bonkers is a fascinating three-reel, single-payline, three-coin slots game that has been designed and developed by Real Time Gaming (RTG), one of the leading software providers for online casinos in the world. If you are interested in a slot game that is simple to play and at the same time has a twist that can help you make some big bucks, Bonkers may be an ideal undertaking for you.
Bonkers is very simple in the way it is laid out. There is one payline and one payline only, so you don't have to worry about continuing to raise the amount of your wagers to enable more and more paylines. Of course, the other side of the coin (if you pardon the pun) is that there are less ways to win. But this game gets more interesting the closer you look at it.
Many of the basic controls are standard. You can click "Bet One" to wager one unit, in whichever denomination you choose - whether it is 5, 25 or 100. You can "Play 3 Credits" by clicking a button if you so wish. At any time you can click on the red button to the left and "Cash Out" of the game. The button that says "Spin Reel" is where all the fun gets started.
Your top jackpot in this game, as it is laid out on the pay table, right above the reels, is 1200 coins, which is achieved when you have three red Sevens across the single payline. There are seven additional combinations that will pay off, and they are as follows (based on the maximum three-coin bet being entered into the virtual machine):
Triple Bars - 240
Double Bars - 90
Single Bars - 45
Any Bar - 30
Three "Bonkers" - 9
Two "Bonkers" - 6
One "Bonkers" - 3
Now, from looking at that table you may be under the impression that for a symbol that is eponymous with the game itself, the Bonkers symbol isn't really paying off very well. However, there is an added twist that makes it very special.
When you get two Bonkers symbols across the payline, you are going to rewarded with three free spins. The real bonus is when you get three Bonkers in the line, at which point you receive ten free spins. In this process, you basically get ten free shots at the house without having to risk anything. Best of all, these are guaranteed-winning free spins, so you are sure to get something out of them (There is a counter at the top of the interface that tells you how many free spins you have left.)
Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to win additional free spins during the free spins phase, but you have plenty of opportunity to cash in nonetheless. Also, if you were to win the highest jackpot with three red Sevens during this time, the free spins would be over. Of course, you could care less, because you would have done enough damage already.
Doesn't that sound like something worth taking a crack at? Sure it does. If you enjoy playing slots, it is in your best interests to go Bonkers as soon as you can!
