The US online gambling ban has had a great influence on the global gaming industry and this is a situation that cannot be ignored. Since millions of Americans are into online gambling evidently counter-efforts have been made to cancel the online gambling ban and help is coming from everywhere to support this plan.
US. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and his Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act (IGREA) for example, are among those who want to revoke the UIGEA law. Others who support his actions against the US online gambling ban is Rep. James Moran (D-VA). He represents a district on the other side of the Potomac, basically ignoring Washington, DC. Maybe signifying a shift in another sense, Virginians have been opposed to online gambling and online gaming used deposit methods, even voting against the practice in 2003.
This initiative may be rolling in the right direction having 40 supporters on the Hill with high profile lobbying efforts. And please let’s not forget the ample exposure Harvard Law professor Charles Nesson received during his campaign this week. Things may turn out well in the end…
